A school cannot force students to provide specific recommendations. My recs are coming from an English and two or three history teachers and my supervisor at a museum.

I doesn't matter who you get your recs from but you should mix up the subjects you get recs from to give a school a better view of you as a person. So like english or math, and science and history would give a better sense of how you are in different subjects.
