serious opinion on my chances to upenn

hey i need an honest opinion on this....is 2010 too low a score for wharton. i plan to do BS in economics and am hoping for a generous financial aid too! i'vr managed to make an impressive EC background and my GPA is fairly decent, specially of Grade 10, which I believe matters the most! however,is this too far fetched for an international student depending on fin aid??? please help.

um.. i would say yes. SAT score is too low. Do you have breakdown? I would expect to receive not much FA even if you do receive admission (just trying to be realistic).

Honestly i need more detail. Go look at some of the other chancing threads and create a similar looking one so that we have more insight into what type of candidate you are.

It's <25%, but that score alone won't keep you out.

Internationals face the biggest hurdles due to the no. of applicants to the no. of slots set aside.

Unless you are a special admittance case (URM, Legacy, athlete, etc) you should at least hit greater than the 25% to be considered a good applicant. I would say that if you can, apply, maybe things can go your way.

International students who DO NOT require financial aid will not be as severely disadvantaged as those who do.

University of Texas A &M (m applying for economics majors in these)

So what do you guys think?
N my Sat break up is 710-M, 660-W, 640-C
N I do have my subject tests in hand as I am giving them next month.

Also My extra curricular actuvities include
All India Teen Wing Coordinator of a Social Movement
Community Service of 70 hrs
Undertaking campaigns and internships in different states for my social movement
6 year course in a percussion instrument of ancient India ( which is very rare for a girl to play)
3 year course from the same national academy in indian classical music (vocals)
Trained indo contemporary dancer
Part of the organising committee for the school events
Active performer in school cultural events
Also, I have received the scholar badge (students in the top 10 percentile) for the last 6 years

P.S. - trust me people, my school's system is too academic oriented! These E.C. Activities were all I could possibly do during my time in high school
