| Decision && School: ACCEPTED M&T (Wharton & SEAS) Stats:- SAT Verbal: 750
- SAT Math: 770
- SAT Writing:800
- SAT Total: 2320
- SAT II: 720 chem, 760 math 2
- ACT:
- AP/IB taken/scores: absolutely none
- GPA weighted: 4.???
- GPA unweighted: 4.000
- Rank or % estimate: 1/148
[ b]Subjective:[/b] - Essays: my most bland; werent creative
- Teacher Recs: generic
- Counselor Rec: generic
- Hook (if any): none
[ b]Location/Person:[/b] - State or Country: pa
- School Type: rural
- Ethnicity: white
- Gender: male
- Legacy Yes/No: no
- Recruited Yes/No: no
- Important ECs: ton of leadership, started tech business, 2 varsity sports, pilot, horse riding, program was perfect for my interests
Other Factors: General Comments/Congratulations/etc: I can't believe it! The other m&t kids are insane - I feel like an idiot in comparison. To the deferred and rejected, don't despair: I was rejected to 4/5 of my colleges; however, I also got M&T and a 40k national scholarship. It is all luck - it all depends on the whims of the whoever is reading your application.
On a side note, I made my other essays very creative and quirky, but my Penn essays were bland. Perhaps colleges don't like an eccentric approach to the admissions essay??? |
