I heard we (freshmen) sign up for courses at some point either during the summer or after we move in...something about needing to talk to an adviser to plan out our schedules?

You'll sign up over the summer, and you'll probably do it wrong :-) Your adviser will contact you to help you out, and you'll probably meet with them in the fall to go over classes again.

Wharton freshmen will be pre-enrolled in MGMT 100 and its recitation (your team). You'll also need to take the first econ class. You should sign up for Math 104 (103 if you haven't taken calc at all). Beyond that, you should take a foreign language if you won't place out, and then one other class, like a writing seminar, legal studies, or a class in an area you'd like to explore for a minor.

College freshmen should take 4 random classes. You should probably get your writing requirement out of the way.

Engineering freshmen need to be in a math class, required physics/chemistry/biology classes, and either eas101 or the first class in your major.
