the computers on that website are at discounted prices, but does Penn Computing have another sale in the fall?
I want to get my computer ASAP so I can get used to it, but will I get a better deal from Penn computing than the discounted Penn Apple store?
I'm an employee of Penn's Computer Connection. Right now the discounts are the same (although we have some great deals on the previous mac revisions...like a MacBook Pro for $1500).
However the official back to school promotion begins in July. The computer connection will mail you accepted students information on the promos we end up running. Usually they're pretty sweet, like free iPod with Mac purchase, etc

Any chance you might have a deal for a discount on an iPhone when you purchase a Mac. I know the promo with the iPod is usually for an Nano so maybe a $200 discount on an iPhone?
So are the prices for the computers still the same during the back to school sale, except during the sale you get free stuff with them? Or do the computers get further discounted in July?
And when you buy a computer, regardless of on the Penn/Apple website or in the actual store, the money is going to the same place, right?
Last year the discount was not eligible for iPhones, I remember that much. That was for reasons of already-tight supply and the logistical challenges of campus computer stores offering something that is only sold at Apple and AT&T stores.
The prices are usually similar, but why pass up a free iPod? Moreover, there is supposed to be a major redesign of MacBooks this summer, so I'd wait for that.
