| Momofwildchild--I completely understand. The piano department is usually more selective than the Juilliard School. I have been working on my program for the past 6 months and will continue. One of my teachers is a graduate from Curtis when Schnabel was on the faculty (he studied under him), and he says I can compete with the other applicants (he is also giving me a great recommendation). I'm excited to at least try. I'm also auditioning to The Juilliard School, Eastman, Manhattan, NEC, etc. Hoping I'll get into at least one!
I had a meeting/tour with a man from the admissions and asked him, and he said that it was theoretically possible. I don't know if I'm even interested in obtaining a degree from UPenn, as that would take a lot of work considering the work load Curtis throws at you. I was just curious to see if anyone has done it. |
