When do we start hearing from waitlists?

Anyone know when Penn (esp Wharton) starts taking people off of waitlists?

After they figure out how many spaces are left over after admitted students mail their matriculation decisions. Patience, grasshopper. And best of luck

now imagine those 20 people having not tried to get in off the waitlist... i'd venture to say that their lives were changed majorly.

also, there's still hardly any news about how badly harvard affected yields, so this year in particular there is perhaps a heightened chance of getting in off the WL, it's all really just a roll of the dice, but "nothing ventured nothing gained"

Also, I was reading something from last year on CC that said that people started getting off of penn's WL the 9th of May, so maybe some lucky people will start hearing this week? Best of luck to all.

more likely that means they're still tallying rd responses before they can figure out how many waitlisted people to accept

I got a call from Penn today, but I missed it and the message was that they had an "interesting proposal" for me.

Needless to say, I'm incredibly on edge.

Penn's definitely going to the waitlist this year. My friend just got an offer of admission today by phone.

Penn goes to the waitlist every year (as do virtually all schools). The question is, for how many applicants?
