I was wondering if it looked bad if your ACT score increased ALOT.

My first score to PENN was a 26 (28.30.26.20) but then I took it again and got a
31 (32.32.34.27)... what would admission officers @ Penn think about that?

Thanks Guys

does Penn lok unfavorably at people who only submit ACT scores (no SAT II)

I would highly recommend including SAT II scores with your ACT.

I did (34 ACT, high 600's on SAT IIs) and it got me into Wharton.

no hook, no legacy, no urm (i'm caucasian).

i guess you could make the argument that i still fit in an underrepresented geographic area though, coming from montana.

according to my admissions counselor, who i've spoke with since i came here, here is why i got in:

    1. amazing essays (so so important)
    2. 4.0 in Full IB
    3. high involvement and performance in e/c (golf, etc.)
    4. hundreds and hundreds of hours of c/s
    5. 34 on ACT
    5. from montana

@Chronic - yes wharton looks highly upon math scores. i had an 800 on my sat math, a 35 on my act math, and a 700 on my sat ii math (680 on us history and 660 on bio-m)

@Millhouse - mocking current wharton students is probably bad karma on your part

    @ the Op:
why would Penn have to see your first low ACT score? With the ACT, they only send the score you tell them to, unlike the SAT. Just send them your highest score.

    @OP
how many hours of community service would u consider "average" and how many would make it a plus on ur application?
