Extracurricular Activities

To all prospective undergraduate students!
do you think listing a whole bunch of activities will look better to the admissioners?
I think that just becoz one has done more "activities" than another, doesn't
mean they're an all rounded person.
If u have a great passion for one particular activity, thats all it matters right?

I'm asking you this, bcuz i have some friends who just take part in so many activities despite the fact that they are not interested in any of them at all. They say the reason for taking part in activities is just to look "good" in the app.?

I really think that community services and activities shouldn't be done by force, it should be purely self motivation.. how is it a "community service" if one is not devoted??? Will the university admissioners spot this?

Genuine passion for one or two activities will be viewed more favorably than superficial participation in many.

But what if you are someone with multiple EC's, and you favor some over than others, but you have interest/passion/fun in all of them? Would that be all right?
