Deferred Wharton

I applied to Wharton ED and got deferred. I was pretty shocked because I have never gotten straight A's any semester in high school. Well, last semester I finally managed to get A's in all my classes with a very rigorous schedule. I guess I finally realized the importance of doing well in school. Do you think this will help me get admitted at Wharton? Also, will this late upward trend help me get in to other schools?
