Personal Essay

So on Pitt's website it says "If you decide to complete the optional essay question, you can choose one of the topics suggested below or select a topic that reflects something about you and your interests." I don't know whether I should write a new essay or just use the one I used for my common app. I wrote about my first memory which was seeing a rainbow reflect onto my rug and trying to touch it. I related that to unattainable dreams and then back to how I persevere. I had it edited by several people and everyone has said it's very well written. Would it work for my Pitt essay?

I used my commonapp essay. It was about my love of reading and Harry Potter. Didn't do one of the more "professional" ones at all.

I used my common app essay and I wrote about my bookshelf and how each book on it represents to me the opportunity to have my thought process changed by showing me a different way to think
