Student from Czech republic - please chance me

Hello,
Do you think I have a chance to be accepted, if I'm applying for a lot of FA?
SAT I: 690CR/750M/680W
SAT II: 800Math II/770 World history

GPA 3.83 (UW)

Quite a lot of acadamic awards and achievements.
Otherwise probably weaker ECs than US students.
Recommendations - not so good - I'm the first student applying to US school from my school andthey are just not used to write recommendations as US teachers. I tried to help them, but it didnt help a lot. Especially with one teacher - I think I will cross her out and ask someone else.
Essay-No idea. I got only 8 from essay in SAT and I have no idea how goo/bad am I in comparison to US students. If anyone was willing to help and read my essay I'd be very grateful.

I can't remember if admissions decisions for internationals are based on FA requirements or not. I know that they don't meet 100% of demonstrated need for FA's, but not sure that prevents you from being admitted. Completely discounting the FA since I have to plead ignorant on that, I would think you'd be a strong candidate based on your test scores and the school's desire to continue to increase the diversity. Best of luck in your search process.

You will most def. have an excellent shot at getting in. You are international, have a great SAT score (higher than UR's median average), and great SAT IIs, and a good, solid GPA. Don't worry about getting in--you'll be fine

Thanks, I've just submitted the application. I will be able to contribute 10 000 tops, which I hope will not be such a problem because of Richmond's huge endownment...

If you're applying to an American university (and if your first language is not English), you have to take the TOEFL test (Test of English as a Foreign Language).

Nope, if you have sufficient SAT CR score, many colleges will waive the TOEFL requirement for you. Mostly 600, but the most selective schools require either 650 or 700.
btw I cant even count how many times I had to correct this mistake....:-D

Uh...what? UR is amongst many other private colleges who admit a higher percentage of males than females, because more females apply and they want to keep the gender balance even. So it's harder for FEMALES to get in, not males. The freshman class this year does uncharacteristically have more girls than guys, but I doubt that has anything to do with the way they were admitted, just a fluke with who decided to come and who didn't.
