What kind of kid likes Sewanee?

My D is interested in Sewanee. She is a northerner who likes sports and art. She is a doer more than a thinker (doesn't like to invest hours and hours studying). I am wondering which kids love Sewanee... what is it like... social and academic?

Anyone?

Have you been able to visit? Sewanee is very nice for the outdoorsy person. Lots of hiking, biking, etc. Lots of activities are planned for students both on campus and off. I also know a few students who are "intellectuals" that have never been hiking in there lives but enjoy sitting around discussing the latest political issues. There truly is room for all kinds. I will say the faculty seems to be very nurturing and supportive. I know many students have dinner with their advisors. Most of the faculty lives within walking distance to the campus. It is an interesting place. The students feel comfortable with the adults around them. The work load will be dependent on her major. I know the students write lots of papers across the curriculum.

The best kind of person for Sewanee would probably be a smart kid that enjoys writing and reading. They would like the outdoors and don't mind not being near a mall or big city. Also, there is a lot of partying and drinking at the school, and most of the kids are into that.
