Last year, the Mork Scholars were chosen from the presidential and trustee applicants. My son was upgraded from presidential to trustee to Mork which was amazing and he is very happy with his decision to attend USC. We are very lucky and blessed. Fight on(and good luck!)

mothermd: what a great thing for your son! Congratulations! And another reason why even NMF presidential finalists might want to attend the Explore sessions. Can you tell us if Mork scholars are chosen from all the candidates or from certain schools? I had heard (perhaps falsely?) that it was primarily for engineers, or for people from the communities near USC. I wonder if you can clarify this for all of us?

We are from NC and my son is a double major in chemistry and business. Another good friend of his is a Mork from Texas who is a pre-med bio major. My son thought only around 2 kids were local and most scholars science oriented .He had to move out alone( long story) so we didn't get to meet the other Mork scholars or Mr and Mrs. Mork so that's about all I know.
