Over the years Chevron has made major contributions to the USC Viterbi School of Engineering. Dean Yortsos announced a gift of $1 million dollars has been given to Viterbi from Chevron for the Chevron University Partnership Program. In addition to previous donations Viterbi has received $1 million each year since 2008 for this program.

Funds are targeted for research, scholarships and other educational purposes.
