About course registration

I do not believe I can attend orientations and I probably wil have to wait until August to register for my schedule. I am thinking about completing scinece GEs, writing+GE and possibly a business course. Are any of these popular that they might not be available for me when I get to USC?

I'm sure that they save spots for people registering in August (since that's what they do for orientations) so you should be able to register for those classes....you may not the exact times you want but GE's are fairly large so you might be able to get in if others drop.

Hey Spark, I ended up doing the same thing (airline prices were ridiculously high and it would have cost me $1000 to attend orientation). Call the school and keep in constant contact with your advisors over the summer, beginning in early June. It's true that you won't be able to register completely until after all of the orientations, but I didn't have any problems getting the classes I wanted at times that were convenient for me. As long as you don't try to do it alone, your advisors will be able to make sure that you get in where you want as much as possible.

Who do I need to contact the school to find out my advisor? Is it possible to discuss my next year schedule with them before August? Thanks.
