I've been seeing several similar questions recently on the USC board. I wanted to offer some quick answers for those applying to USC. Please feel free to add to this list of questions and answers, everyone!
What is my barcode number? Where do I get the sticker?
Your bar code number is your USC ID number. It usually comes with your application in the mail on stickers. You can get these stickers in the mail even if you didn't do the part 1 application. If you do not have stickers, you can either call the admissions office to ask what your number is, then write it in the sections, or write your birthday or SID.
What is the scholarship deadline, and do I need to fill our anything special for it?
The scholarship deadline is December 10th. All you need to do to be considered for a scholarship is submit your application by the deadline. There are no additional forms.
Can I print out the online application?
No, at least not conventionally. You can copy and paste all of your answers into a document and then print that.
How does admission at a specific school affect my admission to USC?
If you do not get admitted to a major such as Production or Business, you will be automatically considered as an undeclared student. Thus, your chances of getting into USC don't decrease because you applied to a specific school.
Will you tell me my chances of getting in to USC?
No. At least, I Nikara won't. But other people here will. Wait at least a day before bumping your request, please, especially on weekends.
Why is no one replying to my post?
Not every major is represented here on the USC boards. If your question is getting no responses, it is probably because no one is in that major. Sometimes statistics on certain topics, unfortunately don't exist. Also, students can get busy at certain times of the year, and will stop replying to questions. Study for finals begins on December 8th. Realize that students on the board will be worried about their final tests on this time. However, many of us will want to procrastinate as well, so you should still get responses!
How many teacher/counselor recommendation letters should I send?
You only need to send one. Send some others if you feel that they are excellent, or add another dimension to your application.
Do you enjoy going to USC?
Yes! I've had an awesome time here. I've studied abroad, experienced incredible teachers, done fun labs, made great friends, and had an awesome time at football games. Fight on!

It is not imperative that scores be received by USC by the deadline but should be there within a week or two of the deadline.
If you want to make sure that USC receives your scores close to the application deadline, you can send a copy of your scores to USC with form 5. You can print a copy of the online report. You will still need to make sure they will receive an official copy from College Board.
Admissions will not tell you if they have received your scores until after they receive your application.
If
-your unweighted GPA is very close to 3.8*, and
-your SAT is at least 1960*, or
-your ACT is at least 29*, and
-you have taken mostly honors, AP, or IB classes, or most that your school has to offer, and
-you have solid ec's in community service and leadership,
-you write some great essays that show your passions,

1. RHP is different from regular admissions. Make sure you know the right deadlines and rules for each.
2. I have no clue how selective RHP is. But keep in mind that it's a fairly self selected group that apply. Since a dean's scholarship is included, I would imagine it is at the very least as selective as is regular admissions with dean's or higher.
3. USC doesn't do rolling admissions. Either you apply by the scholarship deadline and are eligible for scholarships, or you apply by the regular deadline and you aren't.
Do you know anything about the Health Promotion and Disease Prevention major? For example, is it an impacted major? Is it a hard program to get excepted into? Do you know how many students are part of the HPDP program?

Transcript and self score report...
Can i just send the transcript without the form? Is the self score report really necessary?
-Yes, you can send the transcript without the form.
-You only need to self-report if you think there will be a delay in the transcript being received by USC. It should be there close to the due date of the application, but it is OK if it is a little late.
I'm pulling this up for the next wave of applicants. Congratulations to everyone who finished their application by the scholarship deadline. In February, I'll add some info about scholarship interviews...
-End of January through February: Acceptances for those who will receive merit scholarships. Letters/invitations for merit scholarship interviews.
-End of February: Letters for other merit scholarships.
-Beginning of March through the beginning of April: Acceptances for all others.
-1st or 2nd week in April: Rejections
So if you get a scholarship, it's a safe bet you'll be accepted? Or do you get a scholarship plus admission at the same time? If you're offered an interview, are you required to go?
All I can guarantee knowledge about is the Trustee/Presidential scholarships. You get your admission letter on the same day or before you get your scholarship letter. The scholarship letter invites you to interview. You are required to go to that interview, but USC helps to pay for it.
