i'm thinking of taking classes at usc during the summer next year (2009). apparently usc financial aid gives no aid in grants for the summer, and since the majority of my financial aid during the year is in grants, it could make things difficult to afford. i'm looking up scholarships, but most of them seem to say that they're for the "2008-2009 school year", etc., and a lot of their deadlines are passed for that time. assuming i can find one that i can still apply to, can these scholarships be applied to the summer following that year? if not, are there any good summer-specific scholarships out there?

I have a... vague memory of reading somewhere that the summer is way less expensive than the regular year, which would make it more affordable. Sorry if this is false info, but it's something?
