| A Few Quick Application Questions
This may be stupid, so bear with me!
1) I'd really like to get my counselor/teacher rec stuff in soon, before I finish the application and get the special forms. It is all right to print the blank forms instead, isn't it, as long as I write in/sticker the USC ID in the top right corner? Also, when/how do we get the USC ID sticker thingies?
2) When they ask for the SAT self-score report, what sheet exactly is it that they want us to send? In addition to having an official score report sent, of course...
3) This is less quick and more odd, but...on most of the documents they've sent me, including the "thank you for submitting part one" letter, my USC ID has been one number. Then on some other little postcard they sent a while ago, it had the same name but a different USC ID. After that I got another letter with the normal USC ID. Does this sound like a serious problem, or can I just use the one I thought it was?
Sorry to be so long-winded and obnoxious, and thanks in advance!

Your questions are not stupid, long-winded or obnoxious! They are good questions.
1) Yes, just use a blank form and write your USC ID neatly. The stickers have, in the past, been sent after you fill out the Part 1 application, but many students don't get them. You don't really need them. If they arrive before you send your materials in, just stick one on each document or envelope over the place you wrote in your ID number.
2) Here is the SAT self-score form: http://www.usc.edu/admission/undergr...Form5_2010.pdf
3) This happened to my D, and she called to ask. They said she could use either number, so she chose the one she received when she submitted Part 1. The most important thing is to chose ONE and stick with it - be sure to double-check everything you send and receive to see that the number you decided upon is there.
Good luck!

Thank you so much! I'll just choose a USC ID and stick with it, then. I like the first one better anyway. :P
Oh, I was a little unclear with my self-score form question. I've printed the form, but when it says this: Quote: |
Instructions: Attach a photocopy of the required test score reports, according to the guidelines below. Also, be sure to have your official scores be sent directly from the testing agencies.
| what is it I'm attaching exactly? Where do I get that?

Attach a photocopy of the required test score reports...
| You can make a copy of the score report you receive in the mail or you can print out the online report.

Have you received your scores yet? If you received them in the mail just photocopy the score report. If you viewed them online print out the page. If you haven't received them yet... you have no scores to self-report yet! As soon as they arrive just photocopy them and send them in.

You self-report them on your application. No need to send official reports until you are admitted and decide to attend. (In spite of this, my D insisted on sending official score reports with all her applications. You can do this through the college board AP Scores - AP Scores & Reporting Services but it starts to add up $$$... )

A couple more questions:
1.) The SCA majors require 3 letters of recommendation. Can you send 4? Would they be annoyed or anything?
2.) Does sending USC the SAT choices through Score Choice negate the need to do anything else with them? I'm kind of confused about that.

1) I think sending more letter of recommendations does not hurt, my daughter sent in one extra.
2) From what I've read USC is one of those colleges that does not like Score choice, i.e. you must send in all of your scores.

^I think some miscommunication.
I THINK Eiffel is asking if a photocopy of the scores needs to be sent if already sending scores through Score Choice. I would send the photocopy just to be sure USC receives the scores ASAP.
Columbia_Student does bring up a good point, however. USC does not participate in Score Choice and requires that all scores be sent.

Okay, yeah, that's what I was asking. I have already sent all my scores through Score Choice, but I'll send the photocopies too. So, I would need to use http://www.usc.edu/admission/undergr...Form5_2010.pdf and attach photocopies of the scores?

I have a question about my application, where it asks you to self-report your scores, should you leave blank spaces for the tests you haven't taken yet (fi.e. AP exams that will be taken next May)?

Put the date - May 2010 - that you will take the test and leave the score blank.
