| New Cancer Research Center for SC and Grants Awarded
The U.S. National Institute of Health has selected SC to establish a new 16 million dollar cancer research center. The center is one of 12 in the nation to receive the designation as a Physical Science Oncology Center. Two other universities named as part of the 12 are Johns Hopkins and MIT.

USC Receives Huge Grants
Keck School of Medicine haas been awarded 34 million in stimulus grants. Elizabeth Fine, Vice Dean for Research at Keck, expects the grants to increasse as additional applications are funded.
It was just announced Viterbi School of Engineering faculty has earned 23.6 million in grants as part ot the stimulus package.
