I'm getting sick of stats, BUAD 310 spring 10?

Okay so last Spring 2009, I had the withdraw from 218. So I'm in 218 again this Fall and it's really sickening seeing everything all over again and not being able to get that A.

Is Buad 310 any better with the right professor? I know Tony Lin is extremely difficult so no go for that especially since I don't want to put in an extraordinary amount of effort.

Who is the best/easiest professor for this class if I take it spring 10?

If I decide to take Buad 310 as a junior or senior instead of next semester because I'm that sick of stats -- Would this be a bad decision considering I could forget all my 218 concepts?

Who is your 218 prof? Do you utilize any sort of tutoring on campus to help with the stats? I'm pretty sure they offer something like that for 218

It's Yin, but I'm not worried about 218 right now. I just want to know how 310 is.

I don't know all the details but s (junior) just dropped 310 because of a bad teacher and signed up again with Radchenko from recommendations from friends. I won't give the name of the other professor but he was unorganized, very difficult to understand, and not at all interested in helping when s went to see him. You can check rating websites.

He didn't think it would be a problem to wait a semester- that's what he's doing. BTW- he got an A in 218 and normally does very well in math but he says the professor makes all the difference.

Take this with a grain of salt- it's just one opinion.

I took 218 with Florence Lin and found the class horrrrrrrrrrrible. Could not stand the class or the teacher.

I took 310 with Ansari - enjoyed the class and did well. In general, 218 is much much more math oriented whereas 310 is more business-ey. That probably explains why some do well in one but not the other. The two classes are very different approaches to stats.

From my research on here, on ratemyprof, and through googling I found that Radchenko and Ansari are the preferred 310 professors

I'm taking 218 right now with Mancera and he's a great prof. So nice and laid back. 310 I'll be taking with Lv. Anyone know anything about him? Only bad thing about 218 is that it is EVERY freaking day of the week.

kmzizzle, don't pass up an internship opportunity, especially if it is at a well known company.

I would actually recommend taking 310 the semester after you take 218 because you go over some of the same stuff and it'll be fresh in your mind
