What kind of jobs do UTAustin BA majors get?

Dear liberal arts majors: what jobs do you want to get after graduating if you are not gonna go to medical school, law school or grad school?

What is the pay?

no but really it all depends on what kind of connections and internships you do over your college career. If you just get the degree and go out looking for jobs with a simple BA then you will have a very hard time

In my (extremely idealistic) view, almost all degrees get you essentially the same level of "hirability"... my brother, who got a BA in philosophy from a 3rd tier college, now has a very well-paying job writing for some sort of lab in Seattle (don't ask any more, that's all I really know). My cousin, who got a dual degree in Business and Economics(?) from GWU is unemployed and literally could become homeless any day now (and yes, she's been actively searching for jobs - though admittedly in a very bad place).

^Although you said don't ask, How well paying is the job?

Could you persuade him to write an article that shows how to get a high paying job with a BA degree, at least in regard to his field (writing for a lab)
