you would be put in your second choice major or liberal arts undeclared. I don't think your ACT is high enough for you to be competitive, so unless your rank is high enough (usually the cutoff is around 5.5%) you prolly won't get in.

Business school mostly looks at ranks. If you are in the top 2% or 3% of your class, you pretty much get in. However, since you are not, your rank is still pretty high. I think you have a good change of getting in.

all my freinds and my counselor keep saying that the fact that i'm a minority might make the difference...is this true?

Im an OOS student, and I missed the application deadline for the fall semester. I am going to apply for the spring semester though. But to get into the McCombs school of business, you have to apply for the fall semester only. Can I get into UT in the spring, do my general ed courses, then apply (do you have to apply separately for McCombs?) to McCombs for the fall? Heres my stats:

    SAT: 1200 (ging to retake)
    ACT:27 (should I retake)
    GPA: 3.8 or 3.9 (?) UNW
    top 4% of class

Do I have a good chance of getting into UT and also the school of business?

tripperian I think in your case you might have to come in as liberal arts and then apply to transfer into mccombs, but the issue is that they're going to want 24 credit units from UT which is usually 1 full year. Sooo I dont know how you'll pull that off by coming in during the spring.

Ya I'll have to do an internal transfer they said. But are you talking about all that extra time I will have between spring and fall? I dont know what Im gonna do either.
