Placement tests at orientation???

Do I have to do these if I scored well on IB/AP/SAT II exams? 50 bucks is quite a lot, and I'm not to certain on the importance of these tests.

try this website, it has all the info about tests

as long as you send your scores to UT, i don't think you need to take any, unless you want credit for some other course
