How easy is it for a non-music major to get practice rooms in the Music School?

I'm not majoring in music nor am I planning on taking any music classes. But I would still like to practice during the semester and the close-knit dorm setting does not look ideal. Do non-music majors have any trouble getting practice rooms and lockers in the Music School?

I was wondering the same thing since my non-music major son is planning to take lessons and/or audition for an ensemble. I called their offices and was told there are 6 floors of practice rooms and you can sign up for them as well as a secure space to store your instrument.
