UT Design/ APs & Collegenow

Hi, I am currently a junior, and I am pretty clueless about the college process, but I know I am interested in the design program at UT Austin.

Does anyone know anything about the design program at UT Austin?
Is it hard to get into?

Also, (I don't know if this has been answered somewhere else),
which option saves more money/time etc.,:
a College Now English at school or the English Lit AP.

and should I take AP Calculus AB or AP Stats?

Thankyou

I have no clue what a college now English is.

AP Lit is 3 hours. However, in the long run, you are going to want to stay for 4 years unless you are seriously cash strapped. It's hard to be in that position, though, because UT will give you money if you are destitute.

The English Lit AP test is worth 3 English credits but you can't be sure you will get a 4 on the English Lit AP test and you need a 4 for the 3 credits. Do most of the kids from your school who take AP English Lit get 4's or 5's?

It is good that you only need a 3 for 3 credits for AP Stats or 4 credits for AP Calc AB. If you take the class and do the work, you should be able to get a 3 on the AP test.

Here are the scores needed for each AP test:

English College now is a dual credit course offered at my school, and the grade supposedly transfers to college rather than just a credit with the APs.

But I just figured out that its credit for English Language,
which I already have credit for with my SAT writing score. woops
Thanks though!
I think I'll take the Language AP and Calc AB next year.

UT does not transfer grades from other colleges to your UT GPA. The grades will be on your UT transcripts as "CR." They may, however, be sent with your transcript.

Not all credit transfers, there is a transfer credit website that you can use to check if it will.

Is College now from a specific college? If it's a Texas community college it usually transfers.
