Yeah, I'm applying to mechanical engineering and electrical engineering as my second choice. My GPA is... complicated. I have a 3.0 at face value, but in my essays I explain how my first year in college turned out bad. I transfered from that school to another, and at that school I've only made one B since (3.91). I've made A's in Calculus I and II and i'm taking 3 right now. I'm hoping they don't just look at the ovarall academic career gpa, but look at my current trend of straight A's and gpa from my current school to show that I'm serious...
That's the story right there |

I'm really going nuts waiting for this decision - it seems like a few people heard and now nothing? Sigh....maybe next week....

Yeah I called them and they said that very few people have received admissions. Maybe they'll start sending them out next week if they keep to their "Mid-november" promise....

I am right there with y'all. Just playing the waiting game. Hopefully this week or early next week. Surely by Thanksgiving. I assume that the Nov. 14th Transfer Texas event is geared more towards those who have YET to apply for transfer. Am I correct in this assumption/is anyone attending?

Ive been checking that status page frequently until now when I made the coolest app ever.
Using GeekTool, I wrote a script that logs in, copies the status page, then posts it on my desktop every couple of minutes. Within minutes of the status changing it will be on my desktop! Awesome, but Mac only unless you use a GeekTool equivalent.
See a pic of it here: http://pennytray.org/ss.png
Download GeekTool here: Tynsoe projects
Then download my UT Status checker script here: http://pennytray.org/status.zip
If you use it, make sure to enter your EID and password in the script. Enjoy!

That app looks really cool, I'm not gonna use it though cause I've already been accepted.
It's cool but risky, I would never enter my EID and password into a third party app! I wouldn't recommend downloading it, especially since its from someone with 1 post on CC.

Yeah, I agree that you should always be careful where you enter your username and password. I just find it funny when it is my program under suspicion...lol.
If I downloaded this script, I would feel more confident with the program because 1) it is expected to have my un/pwd to function and 2) it is simple enough I can see where the data is going.
I have heard that we should have results before Thanksgiving!

2 1/2 more weeks still seems extremely excessive to me, especially when other schools with just as large a transfer pool have already started issuing decisions en masse. Then again, I'm impatient as hell. lol

Not to mention all the people that have already signed up for classes! I hope there's still space in the classes for us if (or should i say WHEN) we get admitted..... The closest in Texas to the transfer pool UT has is A&M, and i got my decision before the deadline! (and my stats aren't godly either, lol)

Hey has anyone else experienced being locked out of their UT EID account? Cause I didn't get my password wrong more than once anytime recent and I've been locked out. Then when I try to reset/change password it tells me that it's such a special lock that I have to directly contact the office. My account has been locked the whole day.

That is strange. Several of my friends have gotten accepted within the past week and they said they were unable to access their account-they had to create a new a very particular password with a few criteria. The fact that there is an administrative block on it though is puzzling. Have you contacted the office?
