| Has anyone gotten acceptance for spring 2010?
Has anyone gotten an acceptance letter for spring 2010 yet? Preferably for those who are transferring to the cockrell schooll of engineering....

I don't think anyone has heard. My friends who transferred previously in the Spring said they didn't hear until November, so the timeline from admissions is probably correct. Maybe we'll get lucky and hear by Halloween...

Cool, I was just wondering if I'm the only one wondering whats the hold up, since my application UT was complete a month before the deadline and Texas A&M sent me a decision a day before their application deadline. If that's the usual time of decision then I'll just wait til then  | |

It definitely appears to be. When I called admissions the other day, they said we can hear anytime between now and the middle of next month, but that only those with truly exception stats and/or a less competitive major might hear back in October. Keep in mind that A&M typically has less applicants and is less competitive (depending on the major) so I would imagine they are able to treat a lot of applicants like the top 10% - one quick look and bam you're in.

LOL I was about to post the same thing. It's really getting annoying how often I check my status page, but I just have to know! I noticed that registration for orientation opens up on 2-Nov, so in my mind, people should start hearing next week - I mean what would be the point of starting registration for the orientation session on the 2nd if no one has at least started to b notified by then?

I don't think so, I'd think that they give priority to texas residents, not to mention US residents lol. But if you know an international student thats gotten a letter then ours is soon to come...

Well international students aren't prioritized, so that has to do with his department/college, I'm sure. I'm willing to bet there aren't a ton of transfers going for that major so they were able to review him rather quickly. I'm hoping that most of us will hear in the next week or so, but I've prepared myself to wait until Thanksgiving since I hardly ever get what I want when I want it. lol
