Scholarships for Studying Abroad

Growing up all around the world, I believe international travel is important. So, I want to inform you Wahoos about a few scholarships.

The first is the NSEP Scholarship. According to UVA's International Studies Office, "NSEP awards scholarships to American students for study of world regions critical to U.S. interests (including Africa, Asia, Central and Eastern Europe, Eurasia, Latin America and the Caribbean, and the Middle East)." Here's the link:

The second scholarship is the Center for Global Health Scholar Award. The 1st link below is about the award. The 2nd link is about Wynn LeiLei Nyane who used her scholarship to travel to Thailand to help Burmese refugees.

Thanks for the info, Globalist. I'm planning on going abroad as a third year, but I'm not sure about where I'd like to go. Regardless, scholarships always help.

Korea University is offering a $500 scholarship (I know it isn't much, but hey, it's money) to students who are from Universitas 21 schools and want to study for a semester at Korea U. (FYI, UVa is the only American member of Universitas 21, which is a league of global research universities.)

Here's info. on the scholarship and Universitas 21.
