Have they already chosen the finalists? I am an international student and I was not nominated by my school in Russia (it cannot do the nomination). I didn't hear anything from the UVA about this scholarship for the past months. So probably I am not selected? And was I suppose to do anything to get this scholarship?

"The Jefferson Scholarship does not require, and does not accept, direct applications; there are some international schools which may nominate students directly to the scholarship competition (you may inquire whether your school is one on the Foundation's website), and all other international students who provide their completed application for admission to the Office of Admission by January 1 are automatically considered.
