Another Chances Thread... lame

I hope someone who isn't too exhausted by the millions of chances threads would take a look at my stats. I keep comparing myself to the people who post their things on here, and get a little nervous since they're all people with 2800 SAT scores and 1st in their class and have 8 different sports and are worried about being rejected... I hope that their stats are in no way the "norm" for UVA. :\ Anyhoo...

In-state, white male, College of Engineering, Regular Decision

SATs: 2220 (750 v, 700 m, 770 w) -- only taken once
SAT II's: Math level 1 (730); Literature (680); Chemistry (580... )
Cumulative GPA at the end of Junior year: 4.22 w (not sure about uw GPA) -- this put me at 74th in my class of about 478 or so, which around 15%

Mid-Year Report:
College-Prep. English 12: A
AP Government: B
Honors Physics I: B
AP Statistics: A
AP Chemistry: C (ouch, 1.5 points away from a B )
Computer Programming I: A
AP Calculus AB: B (1.1 points away from an A, so mad)

My GPA for that would be a 4.14 w, and about a 3.29 uw, so my cumulative GPA doesn't really change much...

EC's and Awards:
Secretary of a community service club (been a member since 9th grade)
Beta Club (2 years)
Math Honors Society
4th in state for Computer Applications thing for Future Business Leaders of America
Principal's Scholar
Perfect Attendance nearly every year
Business Department Award in 11th grade

As you can see, I'm lacking in EC's, but some people have said that they don't hold a whole lot of weight, which goes to my benefit hopefully.

I had great recommendations, I think, and pretty good essays. That's all I can think of. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated about my chances.

Your rank and GPA will obviously hurt you. Being outside of the top 10%, you'll face an uphill battle, as the vast majority of non-athlete and non-AA admits at UVA are top 10%.

Your SATs are golden but i don't know what to say about your GPA. i'm guessing it is weighted differently at your school than mine because i am a little confused at 4.22 being 74th and 3.2 unweighted. Anyway, that is below the norm of most UVA acceptees but i would be far from saying you have no shot, so don't worry too much and good luck!
