20Legend:
You need to add a third category to your template: Waitlisted.
A significant number of UVa applicants will be in this group.

THIS IS ME FROM LAST YEAR. I JUST WANT TO SEE IF THIS TEMPLATE WORKS CORRECTLY, SORRY FOR THROWING ANYONE OFF! Decision: Accepted Stats:- College/Major Applied To: Arts and Sciences
- Fee Waiver Used?: No
- SAT I (by section): n/a
- SAT IIs: n/a
- GPA, Weighted and Unweighted: 3.93; do not have weighted
- Rank: do not rank
- ACT: 32 (29 math, 34 English, 36 writing, 34 science)
- APs (including this year's): Calc AB 3, Chemistry 5, Biology 5
- IBs (including this year's: none offered
- Senior Yr Courseload: a step below most difficult
- Number of Apps from Your School: one and only!
- Other stats (Awards, etc.): high honor roll, much leadership experience
Subjective:- ECs listed on app: STUCO, Youth in Government, SADD/TREND, amnesty international, varsity lacrosse, retreat planner/leader, part time job
- Job/Work Experience: waiter/busser, May 2005-present and holiday retail employment
- Essays (subject and responses): don't remember
- Hook (TASP, RSI, Research, etc.): Jefferson Finalist, St. Louis region
Location/Person:- State or Country: St. Louis, MO
- School Type, Average Stats of School (if available): Private, Catholic, all girls; avg ACT 30, avg GPA 3.76, placement in Ivys and Top 25s
- Ethnicity: caucasian
- Gender: female
- Income Bracket: highest
- Hooks (URM, first generation college, etc.): none
- Strengths: according to the Jefferson committee, I was an exceptionally well-rounded and very charasmatic applicant "destined for success"
- Weaknesses: GPA, varsity sports, research opportunities, only did required (albeit 150+ hours) amount of community service, job related to desired field
- Why you think you were accepted/wait listed/denied: If you get to the finalist level of the Jefferson, you are accepted. I am very confident this is why.
Other Factors: General Comments/Congratulations/Venting/Commiserations,etc: If I had received a Jefferson, rather than being waitlisted for one, I would have attended hands down.
GOOD LUCK TO ALL!

| ! Decision: Accepted, Echols Stats:- College/Major Applied To: Arts & Sciences
- Fee Waiver Used?: No
- SAT I (by section): 800CR / 800W / 750M Combined 2350
- SAT IIs: MathII 740 / Chem 740 / Bio-E 770
- GPA, Weighted and Unweighted: 3.96, 4.27
- Rank: 3/195 (funny story here, the salutatorian’s mom is on the school board and has overridden several teachers to get her daughter the highest rank possible)
- ACT: n/a
- APs (including this year's): none, poor rural school.
- IBs (including this year's: lol.
- Senior Yr Courseload: Governor’s School: DE Calc, DE Brit Lit, DE Bio, Physics, App. of Research. Regular School: DE Government, Adv. Topics in Bio. Local College: Fundamentals of Music Theory, Logic.
- Number of Apps from Your School: Probably 15 or so.
- Other stats (Awards, etc.): 2nd place Governor’s School District for the state Chemistry Olympiad. Nothing else even worth mentioning.
Subjective:- ECs listed on app: Varsity and JV Soccer, Rec league soccer, Karate (1st Degree Black Belt), Latin Club, Scholastic Bowl Varsity Captain (1st Time All-Districts x2), Battle of the Brains, Piano, Guitar, Jazz + Concert + Marching Band (1st Chair Alto Sax), District Council of Youth Ministries (coordinates youth retreats, mission camps, etc.) (2-time Communications Chair [Vice President], Music Chair), Worship Team, Boy Scouts (Eagle Scout), and NHS.
- Job/Work Experience: none.
- Essays (subject and responses): For “Something that shocked me,” I wrote about why Joyce’s acclaimed masterpiece, Ulysses, is utter drivel pushed on the literary canon by ivory tower intellectuals. For “And issue of significance” I linked Plato’s Allegory of the Cave to modern "wage slaves." My free essay was about a personal revelation.
- Hook (TASP, RSI, Research, etc.): Nope.
- Where Else Applied/Accepted: W&M (Accepted, Monroe), Harvard, Princeton, Stanford, Chicago (Accepted), and Pomona.
Location/Person:- State or Country: Virginia
- School Type, Average Stats of School (if available): Uhhh. Bad.
- Ethnicity: White. And 1/32 NA, but that counts for nothing.
- Gender: Male
- Income Bracket: ~100k
- Hooks (URM, first generation college, etc.): Probably none. If they looked closely they would have realized that my high school was in Brown v. Board of Education, and subsequently closed. It hasn’t recovered much.
- Strengths: High stats, good essays, a variety of ECs.
- Weaknesses: Went to a poor school in a poor area, so no APs, no internships at the White House, didn’t cure cancer, etc.
 - Why you think you were accepted/wait listed/denied: App was pretty solid overall. Instate was just icing.
Other Factors: General Comments/Congratulations/Venting/Commiserations, etc: I’m excited! I recently spent a night at the Alderman (honors) dorms at UVa and the atmosphere was very cool. I’m ecstatic to have two great options between W&M and UVa. Only one month to decide…

^^They were either internationals, or were Echols/Jefferson scholars.
So basically only a small % knows right now. Most applicants, the vast majority, will find out tomorrow.

I'm the same way, I'm OOS with LL, but no Echols (wasn't expecting it anyway lol).
I guess it's possible you'll get an Echols email later today, but otherwise you will find out tomorrow @ 6pm (assuming you applied online, in which case you can check your online account.) Best of luck!
