UVA or Wellesley College?

I am interested in a career in business, i-banking or finance etc. which school is the better place to go? Going to UVA will cost me 7K/year more than going to Wellesley.

Thanks in advance!

Congrats on both of your acceptances! I don't really know much about Wellesley, but at UVa, there's a really good business school which you would apply in the spring of your second year. In the business school, you can concentrate in international business, finance, etc. The business program has really good job placements. At the same time, there is also the economics department, which has some great professors as well. Overall, I think that UVa is able to help people find good jobs through the career fairs, the career center, interviewing sessions, etc. Hope this helps!

I have a friend in Wellesley who's seriously considered transferring to other schools. As she tells me, students at Wellesley spend a lot of time on the weekends at MIT and don't seem to be very friendly (but hey, that would definitely have to do with a somewhat lackluster freshman year experience). Being in Boston it's cold for many months of the year (if weather is one of your serious considerations), but you should probably do some more research and see where you would be happier. Try checking out online campus tours and student testimonies, would it be possible for you to visit the schools?
