Guys and Gals:
As Dean J said, the University is faced with processing a significant number of accepted student deposits right now. With all due respect, you folks need to sit back and relax, and let things run their normal course. You will receive all the information you need in due time, well ahead of when it is needed to register for New Student Orientation. No worries; you can trust us on that.

Please try again in a few days as new names are added to the database frequently."?? ...thanks for the input in advance!

Are we supposed to receive the whole package regarding ID#, housing, registration, and orientation etc in mail instead of searching your name through UVA web to get those infomation?

the housing application came out on May 1st so if you tried to access it before that date, it wouldn't have worked. If you tried after that, I would follow their advice and check after a couple of days. If you haven't received your packet, here's basically what's in it:

MY UVA: Checklist for Admitted Students, U.Va.

You register for classes when you go to an orientation session. They have kept spots for classes open throughout the summer for some freshman classes. It doesn't matter if you go to session A or K, the chances of you getting into the class are the same.

Housing. You get your assignment in early July, I believe.
University of Virginia - Housing Division :: First Year Frequently Asked Questions

Virginia ID: nothing in my packet mentioned mine but I skimmed through my stuff so that's probably why. It would be easier to just search the UVa people database thing. If your looking for your student ID number, I honestly have no idea. I was under the impression that it was your SSN but on some UVa thing, it said that they are moving away from that system and will assign you an ID number.

The myUVa packet contains basic preliminary info and a lot of info on health records and shots and the like. Trust me, the packet is more exciting before you actually get it.
