how impressive is a upward trend?

hey guys summer is here and im done with my junior year..BUT..i do have one nagging question. My GPA is on the low side with a 3.68 UW but my GPA has increased significantly each year: Freshman (3.33) Sophomore (3.71 UW with 2 AP's) Junior (4.0 UW with 4'APs). My SAT score was 2000 and i am instate.

So my questions are, is the upward trend going to help me and what are my chances for UVA?

yea i would like this question answer too. mine were a little bit higher than the OP 3.71,3.9,4.0 my classes also became 10 times as rigourous b/c i am in the IB program so it was harder to get a 4.0 junior year.

anyone know the answer ~ free bump

well sure it helps. i was all IB and had 3.7, 3.7, 3.6, and then 4.4 (weird) and then i had a 3.9 first year in college and then i got in as a transfer. SO i guess that last two years paid off or its 10x easier to get in as a transfer.
