FYI, My S (out of state applicant) received a letter from admissions today saying that the freshmen class is "oversubscribed" and therefore they won't be retaining him on the waitlist. For us, it came as good news, as he is a very happy Vanderbilt '09er!
So what's the deal? Are we just hung out to dry? My online page changed to "Your application status is not available...," but that's all. Not a word, not a letter, or an email. NOTHING!!!
Some might say not knowing is a good thing, as they can still say yes. I've heard other schools are also taking quite a long time with their decisions. I guess the closer we get to July 21st transfer orientation the more we'll know. ARGH!!!
forget it guys, your are not gonna get over it in a second after u see that letter. i just opened it, read it and threw it. besides, if your in , they probably would hav told u by now.
crich, guess you got the "waitlist is closed" letter? If so, I know your pain.
I got one last year. I know for a fact mistakes were made with their handling of my app and transcripts this year. Doesn't mean I'll get in, but it does give me hope.
Thanks for the update wmxfer!
Good luck to all still enduring this torture!!!
