I called financial aid again today and was told that whoever told me that July 16th was the last day was wrong and they're going to go through the summer. She made the typical excuses of "oh we're short staffed" and "it's the new system." She said that I should just sit tight basically.

I mean, I have no idea what the change will be since my sister is also attending school this year. It would be nice to budget in advance.

My financial aid has not been posted. Starting to really worry ..... I signed a lease for an apartment thinking I would get financial aid. Now, it looks as if I am going to have to work instead of going to school,

I know this isn't specific to regular semester/annual financial aid, but when I took a J-Term Abroad course (fin-aid eligible), I did not receive any information until the last business day prior to the acceptance deadline. I had emailed and emailed and they said the info was coming and it hadn't. I eventually drove down to SFS and sat there and waited until I could get an answer. Eventually I met with a Financial Aid officer and he took me into one of the small offices and pulled up my application and explained their methodology for calculating aid and told me what I could likely expect. It wasn't final yet since they were working on everyone's one-by-one. Later that afternoon I did get an email with my award and it was what he told me it would be.

Point of the story: they are likely realllly backed up especially so with more people applying for financial aid. I'd expect you'd probably have an answer by move-in day. I know, it's not comforting at all...but I wouldn't lose hope or start stock-piling Ramen noodles just yet.

Mine was just posted yesterday so don't lose out on all hope. They are posting them through the summer and I think the new goal is like Aug 15th

so when is the deadline to pay the bill? my financial aid still hasn't been posted....hopefully they move the deadline back, does anyone know the new deadline?

i dont know the deadline but i do know that everyone should get financial aid by august 15th

Still not posted!!!Next Thursday would be the last day they post financial aid packages!!!I really hope that the funds are not depleted yet!!!Otherwise, I will not be a returning undergraduate student but a college dropout.
