How does enrollment for spring classes work? I know the order is based on number of credit hours, so do they assign us a time/date to submit our requests or what?

yes

you meet with your advisor, who "releases" you to enroll through their sis, and on the specified date you can add your classes. there used to be this code system in isis and it was the worst, i was always paranoid about losing my code. sis is much better in that respect. you can also pre-enroll or something but i'm not sure how that works.
