Think about what the girl is going through right now, or if shes dead.

some of you PRICKS are more concerned with the reputation of the school or what she should have been doing, she did nothing wrong.

some of you need to get a taste of what the real world is actually like

"she did nothing wrong."
What happened to her? Where is she?
You don't know what she did or didn't do. Clean up your language and your attitude.

She is an education major. I doubt she was doing anything (or if there even is anything, at all) that warranted her disappearance. I mean, if you're insinuating she went partying or something, then how many students go partying and don't disappear? You know? I think once she was announced missing it spelled bad news. It's not like she's a child who wouldn't have means of contacting someone or getting herself home in the event of trouble.

^I don't think kidnappers give you the right to an attorney(I'm sure they don't provide you with one if you can't afford one) or a phone call. If she's in serious troube, then I doubt there's anything she can do. This is definitely a kidnapping... I hope they find her. Pray for her, everyone.

I mean I think it was probably (un)intentional foul play, was there a reason they would KIDNAP her? The family would have stopped publicly announcing everything if it were a kidnapping and FBI would be involved.

The FBI is involved now with UVA, CVL and state police. Her parents are trying to get the word out nationally through media outlets like CNN, FOX, ABC, etc. One report said that she asked her mom if she could go, worried that because it was a hard rock concert, she wouldn't approve. Mom wanted to "let her spread her wings" and consented. Apparently they were familiar with Charlottesville, dad worked there as a psychiatrist and brother just graduated from UVA last spring.

I feel so awful for them and what they must be going through. Tomorrow is Family Day at VT.

Lobzz offers the best advice: pray for them.

Everybody knows education majors don't do anything.
Until she is found NOBODY knows what happened and what she chose to major in while in college has nothing to do with it.

aglages, I think you misread/misunderstood what hazelorb was trying to say.

Morgan's family has set up a website that has information and ways to help (in addition to prayer):

Help find Morgan Harrington

I hope all students at UVA, Tech, everywhere will use this story as a reminder to be so very cautious. Please.

I don't know what hazelorb was "trying" to say. I do know that his/her statement began quite clearly with "She is an education major". Which has WHAT bearing on the rest of the post?

I for one didn't know that education majors don't do anything. That's quite a generalization.

As KandKsmom has pointed out, the family and friends of this young woman are going through a tremendous amount of grief and anxiety right now. There is a great deal of misinformation and rumor out there right now; we don't know everything and won't; but please, kids, be careful.

What was hazelorb "trying" to say then? Clearly you and KandKsmom have some special insight to the meaning behind the words.

I believe hazelorb was simply providing information. Perhaps you'd like to enlighten us as to the meaning behind your statement "Everybody knows education majors don't do anything". But I don't think this thread is the place for that discussion.

LOL....nice try.
My response was clearly sarcasm. Amazing how some people can interpret what others are "trying" to say but miss the obvious intent of other posts. Let me help you:
"Until she is found NOBODY knows what happened and what she chose to major in while in college has nothing to do with it."

I heard this from a VT friend. "she was on her way to the bathroom accidentally walked outside, and into thin air...."

Also I read that she asked her mom permission to go to the concert and her mom didn't like the idea but decided to "let her spread her wings" How many people in college ask permission to go to a concert? IMO only people who are really close to their parents and are used to following the rules do that.

This doesn't sound like a girl who was out of control. It sounds like she got lost accidentally ended up outside and got snagged by somebody smart enough to take her battery out of her phone a not leave a trace. I could be way off base here but it sounds like when she ended up outside (maybe asking for help or advice on how to get back in) some creep spotted a hot blonde by herself and took it from there.

Just my 2 cents
