Rolling Admissions?

Does UVa do rolling admissions, because that's the only type of application I'm looking for right. And they have to be public as well.

UVA does not have rolling admissions. You will find out on or around April 1st with everyone else.

Sorry to see you go, but that leaves less competition for the rest.

I remember reading some of your posts in Northwestern and Yale. It's none of my business, but why did you change your mind?

Here's a CC thread with a big list of RA schools. Good luck.

List of Colleges with Early Action, Early Decision, and Rolling Admissions

mollymauk, i didn't actually change my mind, but Yale does this thing that says you can apply SCEA there and still apply rolling to public schools elsewhere, even though it's single choice. so, I want to relieve some of the stress of senior year by apply rolling somewhere that is more "target" so that I will (hopefully) be in college for sure by like january.

it's down to UMich or Penn State now that UVa is out. thoughts?

IMHO: U-M is probably the more prestigious of the two although I have heard people from outside of PA say great things about the Honors program at Penn State.
U-M is the most expensive OOS tuition public school in the US (but not too far ahead of UVA).
Neither U-M nor Penn State gives a lot of pure merit aid to OOS w/o financial need.
Yale SCEA is a coin toss, so you're right to apply to RD schools if they allow it.
Hope the list helps and good luck.

And if financial aid in general is a concern, U-M does not meet full need. Otherwise great school.
