Just being first year student and take math310 currently, want to take two 300 above courses next semester, which two is best combination in terms of workload and easiness. Don't want to be overloaded. Which one is hardest and easiest or depend on professor.

MATH 3250 - Ordinary Differential Equations Credits: 4
MATH 3310 - Basic Real Analysis Credits: 3
MATH 3351 - Elementary Linear Algebra Credits: 3
MATH 3354 - Survey of Algebra Credits: 3
MATH 3340 - Complex Variables with Applications Credits: 3

don't take complex until you've taken real, complex is real with complex variables thrown in. i made the mistake of taking it without ever having taken real. i still got an A, but it was a lot of all night studying sessions...

325 is supposedly difficult but i transferred it here.
i also didn't take real like i said.

linear wasn't a lot of work for me but it was for people without proof heavy courses. survey of algebra is even more theory based.

Complex is easier than Real. But I would advise taking 325 and 335.

Has anyone taken the "Transition to Higher Math"/"Intro to Abstract Math" (MATH3000, it was listed as both things at different times)?
I'm planning on taking it this semester and wondered if anyone had any input.

It is a new class so I doubt anyone has taken it.
I'm sure it will be helpful if you want to be a math major. Any class focusing on a good transition to 300-level proofs is a good idea.
