NO- get a local teacher or parent to proofread. Check with your guidance counselor if you have doubts about them.

^ Yes, I already had my teachers, and my dorm parents read my essays. I just thought opinions from people who know well about UW might help. Is there any reason why I shouldn't ask people here to read my essays? Thank you.

Well, because it is your application. You need to trust yourself and your abilities.

You can ask but you really have no way to evaluate the value of any advice you would get. I'd trust your teachers and dorm parents a lot more than anonymous posters on a message board.
