Some engineers, like myself, use Macs for iPhone app development.

However, it may be worth noting that it is technically possible to run Mac OS X on a PC. Quite a few engineering students do this with great success. It runs natively (same Intel architecture), but not all hardware will work (few drivers are available), and one could argue over its legality due to Apple's licensing restrictions.
