Just got my letter today.

Does anyone know how USC gives out merit based scholarship?

You're going to get a letter within the next week explaining which scholarship you are being considered for (Presidential or Trustee), then you'll fly out to interview in February. You'll be notified by April 1 of what scholarship (if any) you receive.

I'm a freshman Trustee scholar now so PM me if you have any questions about the process.

I applied before december 1st to USC (and the film school). If I haven't gotten a letter yet does it mean i'm not being considered for scholarships...?

I got accepted as well. Does anyone know though, if you need to send in MidYear reports if you are already accepted?

xxchromosome - Congratulations! No, you do not have to send a mid-year report if you are already accepted. After you graduate, you will send a final transcript noting your graduation to the university that you plan to attend.

I think they let people who are getting the top scholarships know about their decision.

I got a letter saying that I was not chosen for either of the two top scholarships, but I would be considered for other scholarships. So, I guess thats a good thing

don't worry if you haven't gotten a letter yet though, it doesn't mean you're not going to be accepted!

I applied to SCA also and I have not received the no Schloarship/ Midyear report letter.

I got the admission package in early feb and received the Dean's scholarship late feb (which is for those who are not considered for the top two scholarships) but its still nice =) quarter the tuition.

^ for most, near the end of the month. but i read on some other threads here that a wave of letters will possibly be coming this friday.

Does anyone know when trustee/presidential scholars will be notified of their offered scholarships (after interviews)?

The final interviews for Trustee/Presidential scholarships are being held on March 9, so my guess is that the notifications won't be before this is completed. My H, a faculty member, is participating on an interview panel for this last round of interviews.
