In the end, I think the Achilles Heel of my application are my Standardized Test Scores. Are they low enough to keep me out? Im also applying to Georgetown, Cornell, Washington and Lee, Wake Forest, Boston College, and UNC Chapel Hill. How competitive am I for these schools?

You being Greek Orthodox is different. They probably don't get a lot of applicants of that religion.

Is your service work counted? [ie. do you have hours recorded?]

Your test scores aren't amazing, but they're definitely not an obvious rejection.

A 29 not amazing? Lol please. The middle 50 is at 31. A 29 is a few points off made up by a 12 on the essay. Dude you good man. You're probably in the 70 - 80 off that score. Even if you scratch the minimum, you've got a chance.

People on CC are overachievers... You can't improve the 29, so be greatful for an OUTSTANDING essay score.

The middle 50% is 31-34, meaning that 31 is at the 25th percentile. Since his score is a 29, that means he is below the 25th percentile. People with scores like that do get in, of course. But they just have to have something to really make up the difference.

She/He does have really good ECs, though, so that's why she/he still has a chance.

You and your app are outstanding. I'm just sorry you applied to some of the same schools I did! LOL

Don't worry!!!! You should definitely get a fat envelope from this school and your others too.
