I'm a current member of Sigma Phi Epsilon, and I'm looking to transfer to Vandy. I was just wondering what the perception of sig ep is at the school, and how are their sorority relations?

SigEp's pretty cool overall. I think they are kinda defaultly "stigmatized" a bit by the perceived top frats like sae, ka, and beta because they are a new frat and don't have a house on campus, but i know a bunch of their brothers and they are cool.

and with the ladies, i will say that they are well received. girls like them, theres not really many sorority/fraternity affiliations persay, most will do date nights, swaps etc with a bunch of different sororities to keep it fresh and interesting but they are well liked by thegirls because they're generally nice guys.

they have an "unofficial" house of campus behind peabody that is pretty hopping, especially in the fall. be fair-warned that it is extremely hot there though because it is a small house and lots of ppl, no air conditioning.

As a gdi, I agree with VandyManiac. Many frats look down on these guys, so they get crap for being "lower tier." Nonetheless, these guys are chill and throw fun parties. All in all, its a solid group.
