Does not getting an e-mail automatically imply a rejection?

anyone know if eng dept gives out merit based aid and grants? or how often they'll simply knock down sticker price? im looking at some very hard math here tuition-wise, got hammered on fafsa b/c dad took money out of ira and 401(k) to pay off loans and this had to be counted as income.

Unless something has changed in the last few years - yes, they do, as does the College of Arts and Science. You don't need to qualify for one of the top named scholarships in order to receive a generous merit award. So best of luck to those of you who didn't receive the news you were hoping for yesterday. You all have amazing stats and are going to wind up in very rewarding places.

S had 1580/2330, 1/500, NMF, Pres. Scholar, ecs and leadership - no Cornelius Vanderbilt - hard to accept/understand what it takes anymore - Vandy went from being #1 choice to last -too much $$ in this economy, so sad for him though
