29 on the ACT..is that too low to get into Vanderbilt ED?

36 isn't high enough to get into Vanderbilt ED, if the rest of your application isn't up to par. It's a holistic process and when I visited before matriculating, the admissions office told us they reject people with 36's and 1600's on every year. Test scores aren't everything.

A few years ago that score would have been okay. With the spike in admissions that Vandy has seen these past two years, a 32 ED with good backups is not good enough. :/ I would buy a prep book. I used it and went from a 28 to a 33 You can do it!
