Recs: I guess they will turn out to be pretty good

School Type: Private school, sends grads to top schools, extremely competitive (Bottom halves move on to Cornell)

Your SAT is going to be a 2150+, but you're only in the top 50% of your class? Well clearly if you're applying RD, Vandy isn't your first choice, implying you think you have an okay of a chance of getting in somewhere even more competitive so I don't know why you're asking us to chance you...

in his defense, just bc someone applies to a school RD doesn't mean it's not their first choice...
vandy is my first choice but i'm most likely applying RD only because whether or not i go there depends a lot on financial aid, just saying.

& mosdefinitely, even though you're at a competitive school, only being in the top 50% is going to hinder your admissions a bit, but maybe they'll take the competitive nature/small size into consideration? i'm not sure.i'd say you have a decent chance if your EC's are a bit better than what you put down on this post

@dshinka: Vandy is not my #1 school; I'm applying ED to a school I have double legacy in, which is my first choice (and I'm taking advantage of this by applying ED), but besides that school, Vanderbilt is placed VERY HIGH on my list--around #2~#3. I'm not very familiar with Vanderbilt's admissions process and what Vanderbilt seeks in an applicant, (i.e. scores over essays or vice versa) which is why I posted a "Chance Me" thread.

@paigetherage: my ECs are not eye-opening, but they definitely reflect my interests and talents. I have some leadership positons and awards, along with some job experience (not something like a part-time employee at Burger King, but some place that is relevant with my prospective major).
