For one, a 3.5 is really not that bad of a GPA, especially with a 33 ACT. Your list of extracurriculars is impressive, as well as the list of APs, though those will only help you if your scores are good.

I think your shot is really pretty good; if your essay matches the caliber of your schoolwork and activities, then you have a really good chance. Good luck!

Apply into the Peabody School instead of Arts and Sciences: A Vanderbilt Admissions rep told me there is more of a focus on extracurriculars in the Peabody School.

write great essays..you have very good credentials....sorry about your sister, and glad your GC will address for you...hope she is doing much better now.

stay focused on now and the future and your contributions to Vandy life as a classmate and peer--you are not your sister so do your best to describe yourself honestly and creatively for the adcoms...if they only had ten minutes to get to know you what should they know? Tell a story that illustrates aspects of who you are

good luck in your apps and glad you are interested in Vandy

Always write about work experience in my view...

Doesn't Vanderbilt only ask for the essay from the common application for admission to the college?
